Community unites against Gove's forced academies

Today's march in Haringey against local primary schools being forced to become academies was a great example of the kind of broad-based mobilisation we need if we are to succeed in our struggle against cuts and privatisation.

Trade unionist, parents, grandparents, teachers, youth and children came together to give notice to Michael Gove that they would not give in to his bullying tactics.

Downhills School Sings In Unity

Saturday's demonstration in Haringey has been spurred by the community campaign at Downhills Primary School against Michael Gove's attempt to force it to become an academy.
